Expo Stars founder and MD, Lee Ali, was invited to speak at the 13th UFI Asia Pacific Conference at the Shangri-La Hotel in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on 1st March 2018.
The 2018 conference theme was “New approaches, Different Angles”. How should the Asian Exhibition industry cope with a low-growth environment and the changing times that we are currently living in? The Asia Pacific exhibition industry came together to explore, debate and discuss alternative sources of revenues and new approaches to growth in the years ahead.
Joining a distinguished line up of industry leaders and speakers, Lee shared his views on best practices related to attendee engagement strategies and effective stand management – a core skill often over-looked by exhibitors and organisers alike.
Lee’s key message was that exhibiting at trade shows are no longer a one-off transaction, but is now a very important marketing touch point in the prospect to customer journey and that exhibiting should be a vital part of a company’s growth strategy. Lee explored the four key ingredients that go into a successful trade show exhibiting execution, Strategy, Engagement, People and Measurement.
It was Lee’s first visit to Malaysia, and he commented, “It was a great event to speak at, and so many connections made within the Asian Pacific exhibition industry and we look forward to working with Exhibitors and Organisers in the Asia Pacific region to help them engage with their target audience effectively.”
